While driving on the freeway the check engine light illuminated, 10/28/2014. I took the vehicle to the dealer where they advise the dtc code p3497. They advised that the rocket arm bank, oil pressure switch, needed to be replaced on both sides. I had the vehicle repaired. A prior incident occurred on 01/15/2014 where…
Pivot bolt on the auto-tensioner broke twice. The first time the pivot bolt broke was after I had the alternator replaced and I was driving down the highway to take children to school in subzero winter conditions. I barely made it home as my van was running only on the battery. If I had stalled along the road, me and…

Driver side sliding door will not latch/lock and was told this can cause air bag deploying problems as well as door could open. Had to replace power latch mechanism. This also happened to the passenger sliding door around a month ago. This is strange since my wife and I are in our 70's and very seldom use these doors.
The first time we had an issue we were in the country and we stopped and got out of the car. When we got back in the door would not close. We put the switch on manual however the door would still not close. We had it looked at and the line that works the door needed to be cut to close the door. Within a week the other…
Brakes

Applied brakes to begin to turn into a parking lot - brakes have been very soft for months now - this time, they did not engage for a brief moment - less than a second and then engaged with usual "soft" feel. Pedal goes down almost all the way to the floor.
Heard loud noice in the back of the van and the brakes started loosing control and I see vsa and brake indicators lit up in red and I lost control of all the brake.

2010 Odyssey w/ about 70k miles. Engine started misfiring. There was a recall on this, but Honda is saying it expired, and I am not eligible for cost coverage, and the repairs only have a 50% chance of fixing the issue. I bought the car used in 2019, and they say the recall expired 8 years after make year. I was…
Driver's door unlocks spontaneously when making slow right hand turns while car is in motion at low speeds. It then re locks, only to spontaneously unlock again.
Transmission

Van has a significant shake (or "judder", shudder, vibration, or shimmy) when accelerating between 50 and 75 MPH. Entire vehicle shakes, similar to one or more tires being out of balance but much worse. Judder goes away completely and instantly when I take my foot off the accelerator. During this period I had three…
2010 Honda Odyssey was brought to dealer for recall service, 14-032 fuel pump module leak, after notification in august 2015. Upon completion, the service report indicated that a PCM software update was also applied for lock-up clutch function per recall 09-053 Odyssey lc judder. While we had experienced transmission…

Stopped vehicle at a stoplight that was red. Had foot on the brake. Noticed that the engine wanted to rev up and take off. Applied brake pressure harder to keep the vehicle from lurching out into oncoming vehicle. Threw the gear selector into neutral. Engine no longer went into acceleration and back to normal. I made…
I had to replace the fuel pump in my van. I was not aware that there was a recall previously issued for the problem in my 2010 year van. I would like to be reimbursed by the manufacturer for my problem. I also have had to replace both side power sliding doors within the last year or two and they are both going to need…

Stopped in a service road around a parking lot waiting for cross traffic to clear. Foot was on brake. Vehicle engine began racing. Pressed harder on brake to hold vehicle back to prevent hitting car in front of me. Put vehicle in neutral to stop from going forward. Turned off ignition switch. Started vehicle and…
Shortly into a short trip (~5mi) on local streets, smoke came out of the front hood. The vehicle was stopped immediately and 911 called. The emergency team arrived quickly, but fire was noticed in the front hood even before they showed up. The fire was put out but the vehicle was totaled as the front hood was almost…

Transmission no warning , just failed to go into any gear discovered problem in park , than trying to go into reverse, nothing, however after 2 hrs in went into gear than same problem occurred
Self acceleration on highway: driving on highway (new york state thruway) I realized car (2010 Odyssey ex) was starting to speed up on its own, even with brake (foot completely off gas pedal) it was very difficult to slow down to below 55 MPH: when I braked harder car shook heavily as if brake was fighting engine.…
