Dashboard is sticky and shiny, I complained to the dealership but they did not repair the defect. Dealership stated they have seen many of the same model vehicle with the same problem, but Lexus has not issued a recall. The manufacturer needs to recall the dashboard in these vehicles, they become very shiny and sticky in the heat and causes extreme glare while driving. I am worried about how the vehicle safety will be affected by such a sticky surface covering the air bags. Lexus dealership was of no help, this needs to be a recall!

Vsc light comes on randomly and sometimes stays on for days. Abs light comes on with it and check engine light. Very unsafe when it happens I have been turning and the traction will cut out. Because of this issue we do not drive the car in the rain.

These vehicles had their driver or passenger frontal air bag inflators previously replaced under a prior recall using inflators of the same design. The inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling.

Summary
From 2000 through 2017, takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("psan") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004l. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited. The rapid burning can cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially causing serious or even fatal injury to vehicle occupants.
