Takata recall dash cracked over instrument panel and at air-bag on passenger side of vehicle. As far as I know the truck was stationary as it is garage kept. I noticed crack when I heard rattle shortly after leaving my driveway. Concerned about airbag deploying and throwing shrapnel on me.

The issue I have is with the dash pad on our 2008 chevy avalanche. We bought it used and paid $525 to have it replaced and approximately two and a half years later it cracked again in the same area others have mentioned. It seems to be a quality issue and gm would help the owners.
