The dashboard is separating from the passenger air bag area and seems to be stretched by something, unsure as to cause as nothing is apparent. Also the front left defroster air vent near the windshield started to detach from the dashboard as if it was under spring pressure to do so. The local dealer says there is no…
Takata recall. Upon attempting to trade in the vehicle I was informed that it is worth one third of the book value since the air bag is apparently under recall and Ford is offering no fix for this problem so I am left driving a dangerous vehicle that I cannot sell or trade. "no remedy" is not an acceptable answer.

The interior front drivers side and rear driver side door handles had fractured. In order for passengers to exit the vehicle, the window would have to be opened and the passenger would have to put their arm out to open the door, this to me is a serious safety issue!!!
Driver side inner door handle cracked last year, making it difficult to open door. Ford repaired it for $302. Now the left rear inner door handle is cracked. I rarely carry passengers, so it is not due to misuse. My wife was sitting in the back seat and could not get out. Also, it now appears the front passenger handle…

Since I bought the car in spring of 06, bulbs need to be replaced quite frequently. When I change them, the old bulb looks black and burnt. The motor mount and brackets broke as I drove on a local street at speed of 25 MPH. It was the wrong design for this vehicle but they installed it anyway. Later they designed the correct part which was the one the service tech put in the car that same day,the bill was $400.

The right rear inside door handle would not open the door. This has not been repaired yet. The inside drivers side handle broke without warning on 5/11/2009.
All four of the door handles need to be or have been replaced. They are cracking where you pull them to open the door. The two back and side passenger is not under warranty, and of course…
